How do I use my debit card to pay for my small business purchases?

What’s the difference between a PIN purchase and signature purchase?
Whether you choose to use your PIN or signature, the funds for the transaction are taken immediately from your business checking account. To make a PIN purchase, choose ‘Debit’ when it appears on the card terminal and enter your PIN when prompted. To make a signature purchase, choose ‘Credit’ and sign when prompted.
What’s the advantage of using a debit card instead of cash or checks?
With your debit card, you can easily track every business transaction and quickly see your balances through online banking or the U.S. Bank Mobile App 1 . You can also set email and text alerts 2 for important transactions and low balances. You can also skip trips to the ATM to take out cash and avoid paying ATM fees for out-of-network withdrawals when a U.S. Bank ATM isn’t nearby.
What if I lose my debit card or see a transaction I don’t recognize?
If you lose your card, just call 800-673-3555 or visit any U.S. Bank branch to request a new one. You can also lock your card instantly through online banking or the U.S. Bank Mobile App 1 . Remember, your U.S. Bank Business Visa Debit Card has built-in fraud protection, so your money is safe if your card is ever lost or stolen.
